Senior Digital Strategist

OVERVIEW

Blueye Creative is a profitable social media technology start-up that works with a wide variety of clients, from mobile start-ups to Fortune 500 Brands. Blueye has recently launched the leading social commerce solution for brands to build customer loyalty programs on web, mobile & social.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Digital Strategist to help our clients build a strategic framework for loyalty programs. Your solutions will identify their business challenges (primarily around customer loyalty & retention), consumer needs, and specific business KPIs. You are a visionary leader who can build a program from the ground-up and articulate digital concepts and solutions in an effective way to clients. You will serve as lead digital strategist on one or more key accounts and/or brands, and take on additional project work as appropriate.

This highly collaborative role will involve managing an internal team of creative technologists, user experience & brand designers, and engineers, AND director and C-level client contacts throughout the strategy development process as well as execution. As a Senior team member, you will be asked to help with organizational design, process optimization, digital roadmap development, and possibly our internal product development as needed.

You will also play an active role in business development, preparing proposals and participating in sales presentations. ?We expect that you are actively involved in industry groups and participate in helping Blueye establish thought-leadership.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Client Engagements

  • Lead digital strategy with focus on user experience, business analysis, and customer insights.
  • Engage with clients to discuss key digital strategy challenges and evaluate the scope of strategic engagements
  • Work cross-functionally with client and internal team
  • Provide ongoing strategic output, recommendations to client

Strategy Development

  • Conduct research and evaluate findings that serve as basis for strategic digital program.
  • Define and present a digital program?s strategic vision with our VP of Sales
  • Develop strategic initiative and tactics that will drive a successful performance
  • Provide assessment and vision of the ideal ?consumer experience? by defining key capabilities that differentiate clients and meet consumer needs

Manage Delivery & Execution

  • Lead strategy sessions, brief project teams, and ensure execution of project is flawless from start to finish.
  • Provide clear and timely feedback to ensure experiences, technology and marketing solutions are delivered on-strategy to client

Quantitative Analysis

  • Set upfront Key Performance Indicators and goals with client
  • Develop process for collecting, reporting and analyzing data
  • Package metrics and optimization strategies to present to client

Business Development

  • Build and manage strong working relationships with clients at the C- level of the client organization; become trusted advisor;?ability to work with marketing, IT and business executives
  • Provide recognized thought leadership and points of view (including white papers) on Digital strategies including Social Media, Social Commerce, Loyalty Marketing

Management & Organization

  • Build strategy team expertise by mentoring junior team members and offering training in relevant methodologies, techniques, and frameworks
  • Proactively works to improve processes for strategy engagements and team workflow
  • Inspires team members with passion and professionalism
  • Advise Blueye senior management on strategic considerations and best practices for optimizing operations such as organizational structure, roles & responsibilities, processes, governance and decision rights, cross-functional team alignment & incentives, and similar operating considerations

QUALIFICATIONS

?

  • 7+ years digital marketing and/or management consulting (consulting or client-side) experience with at least 4 years focused exclusively on the digital space
  • Expertise in social marketing, loyalty marketing or customer relationship management, and technology.
  • Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment
  • Experience in B2C businesses
  • Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online consumer behavior
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients (upper management)
  • Comfortable being able to quickly join a client engagement and immediately add value
  • A solution-oriented approach using a combination of top-down and bottom-up analysis
  • Must possess rigorous analytical disciplined approach as well as dynamic, abstract problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational change within organizations ? past experience in organizational design consulting, process design and optimization, digital governance, and team dynamics a strong plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills as a team leader and team player with experience managing/training other consultants a plus
  • An ?always-on? ability to brainstorm and design new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
  • Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus
